I originally wanted a messenger-style laptop bag so that I could carry my school books with my laptop. After making the sleeve, I was ready to tackle the messenger bag. I made it out of the same material (brown and white vinyl). The strap is made out of brown vinyl also (couldn't find brown webbing).
It measures 15 inches wide, 10 inches tall, 4 inches deep.
I used the same lining (polka dots)
The back side of the bag is padded, and it has a padded divider to protect the laptop. There are also pockets for organizing pens, pencils, phone, cords, etc.
